Dr. Keshtgarpour completed medical school at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran in 2000 and immigrated to the United States in 2001. After successfully passing the USMLE medical board exams, Mani joined the Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, Michigan, for a clinical Internship year, followed by two years of training at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota, as a physician-scientist in clinical pharmacology and individualized medicine. In 2008, he joined the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, as a postdoctoral research associate at the Center for Excellence in Critical Care, and in 2009, presented his research outcome at the NIH 7th Symposium on the Functional Genomics of Critical Illness and Injury. Adding to the above, Mani has been a postdoctoral research fellow in hematology and oncology at the Masonic Comprehensive Cancer Center at U. of MN (2002-2004) and at the Taussig Cancer Center at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio (2011-2013). In 2014, Mani joined the University of Illinois at Chicago for a Master of Science degree in Clinical and Translational Sciences (MS-CTS) at the Division of Health Policy Administration at the School of Public Health. During 2019 Pandemics, Mani volunteered at the California health emergency task force as a Covid-19 investigator. Currently, in addition to his involvement as a certified CDI specialist, Mani is pursuing his candidacy for a Master's degree in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics remotely at the University of Maryland Global Campus. Dr. Keshtgarpour has been an awardee of the NIH-T 32 training grant and has contributed to several coauthored peer-reviewed articles on PubMed.
